Mizuno Shoes and Apparel

The Mizuno Wave Inspire now comes in two versions. First we have the update to the original that features an all-new upper consisting of engineered mesh and an internal toe cap for a sleeker look. SmoothRide Support Wave technology in the midsole provides the ideal balance between cushion and stability in both versions. The second version of the new Wave Inspire 16 features a Waveknit upper that is flexible and more adaptive. The engineered mesh and the Waveknit both have their uses. The engineered mesh provides a bit more volume in the shoe and is generally more secure. If you require a wide shoe, the regular engineered mesh version of the Inspire comes in a D for women and a 2E for men. If you are after a more adaptive and contoured fit, check out the Waveknit version.

The new Mizuno Wave Rider Waveknit 3 is essentially the update of the wildly popular Waveknit R2. Mizuno’s sleek Waveknit upper still provides an adaptive and precise fit for supreme comfort. The update is a bit more true to size. For those runners who like a more traditional heel-to-toe offset, the Wave Rider Waveknit 3 remains 12 millimeters. This is a shoe that can accomplish all of your daily training needs and has even more cushioning provided by the U4icX foam strobel lining. The Wave Rider Waveknit 3 has gone through a name change, but it remains a wonderfully cushioned, responsive everyday trainer.

The new Wave Rider improves an already-great everyday trainer by incorporating a closer-knit engineered mesh upper. This updated upper is sleeker and more supportive, while a softer heel collar enhances fit and comfort. The Wave Rider 23 continues to rely on a full-length U4ic midsole for the ideal balance between cushioning and responsiveness.

According to Mizuno, the updated Wave Sky is a “brand-new style.” If you have run in the Sky in the past, however, you will love the new version even more. The Sky Waveknit 3 is still a plush cushion neutral trainer made for high mileage and comfort. The plastic wave plate is gone, replaced by the new Mizuno Foam Wave. This means that it is even softer than before. Even more cushioning is provided by the U4icX foam strobel lining. Mizuno is using its new Waveknit for the upper for a wonderful, flexible, and adaptive fit. This is one comfortable shoe. Come in and give it a try.

The update of the Mizuno Wave Inspire continues the tradition of assured stability and reliable cushioning by providing a softer landing with better stability. A newly designed jacquard mesh provides the best fit ever for the Inspire. If you are wary of overly stiff stability shoes, have no fear. Version 15 has deeper flex grooves in the forefoot for better flexibility and a more efficient toe-off. This update merely provides some tweaks to an amazing shoe. If you are looking for cushioned stability in a great-fitting trainer, this is a shoe to try.

The Waveknit R2 by Mizuno makes a great shoe (The Wave Rider 22) even better. Mizuno has attached their new WAVEKNIT upper to the cushioned, yet responsive Wave Rider 22 midsole. WAVEKNIT has everything you want in a high-performance running shoe upper: breathability, security, and flexibility. The sock-like fit makes for a “barely-there” unobtrusive upper that flexes with your foot, but contracts in the right places to provide necessary support. If you are a fan of the Wave Rider 22 and would like a more custom- fit upper, this is the shoe for you. If you get the special Breast Cancer Research Foundation colorway, $10 of your purchase goes to the BCRF. It’s “comfort with a cause.”

Experience a softer landing and a smoother ride with the new update of the Mizuno Wave Rider. The twenty-second edition still uses Mizuno’s vaunted wave plate for impact dispersal and springy energy return. Now, the entire upper uses an engineered mesh for a supreme fit. If you have liked the Wave Rider in the past, you will like it even more.

Mizuno’s leading cushioned stability shoe has gone through an extensive update that contributes to a plush, premium feel without sacrificing responsiveness or stability. The all-new design uses Cloudwave technology for a great combination of springy cushioning and precise stability. For those runners who need the support offered by a shoe with a greater heel-to-toe offset, the updated Inspire has you covered with a 12 millimeter drop. Designers have even improved the Inspire’s traction by developing a new layout of flex grooves on the outsole. If you are looking for a stability shoe that is responsive, yet cushioned, give the Inspire 14 a try.
