Altra has made a few tweaks to the update of the Escalante to improve flexibility and breathability. The Altra EGO midsole and outsole now has greater decoupling to improve flexibility. Altra is now using a mesh with increased perforations for greater breathability. Like all Altra shoes, the Escalante 2 continues to have a zero drop offset, as well as a FOOTSHAPE Toe Box so your toes can splay for better stability. The new, updated Torin by Altra removes 2 millimeters of midsole to create a lighter and more responsive shoe. New INNERFLEX grooves allow for more foot flex and speed.
