The Adidas Solar Boost is the latest upgrade to Adidas’ line of Boost midsole running shoes. The Solar Boost uses a new construction technique called “Tailored Fiber Placement” (TFP) that uses Parley – recycled plastic claimed from the ocean – threads sewn together in a unique pattern designed to create a form-fitting sidewall that wraps and cradles the midfoot and arch. Simply put, TFP allows for a more precise and supportive fit. Adidas has also developed a set of reinforcing rails on the inner and outer sides of the shoe that guides the foot as it rolls forward through the stance phase of the gait cycle. The Boost midsole material continues to provide soft cushioning with maximum energy return. The offset remains at 10 millimeters – no change from previous Boost running shoes. This shoe will appeal to everyone who has used previous versions of the Energy Boost, as well as the Glide Boost and the Supernova.
